Flying Eagles Captain Vanish From Camp

Flying Eagles captain Musa Mohammed has ‘vanished’ from the Nigeria U23 camp in Abuja and has travelled abroad for trials without Samson Siasia’s permission.

Musa who is the right-back had been impressive for the Dream Team VI in training but left the camp last Friday after he took permission from the coach, Samson Siasia. He gave an excuse of going to Lagos to collect his international passport from the German embassy.

But the authority confirmed that the 18years old player has travelled abroad for trials and is yet to make any contact with the team since he left on Friday.

Musa Mohammed, Dele Alampasu, Mustapha Abdullahi, Taiwo Awoniyi and Bernard Bulbwa were invited to the Nigerian U23’s shortly after they won the Africa Youth Championship in Senegal.

Since Musa Mohammed has now left the team, and will not be a part of the All Africa Games qualifier against Zambia this weekend in Lusaka, which the Dream Team must win or play out a score draw to be guaranteed a place at the All Africa Games.
